PUBLIC ART
Colombian born artist Gus Ocamposilva studied Murals at Massana School of Barcelona and
painting procedures at Barcelona University, Spain.(1992-1995)
He works as a team with his wife Lina, together they make and install colorful
sculptures around the world and share the same passion for art. Ocamposilva’s art works
are an interpretation of the world where they were raised; the Andes and the Tropic, a
world filled with a great diversity of colors.
Ocamposilva's created their own style with
character using bright colors, empty spaces
and balance. Forms appear and pervade on
the surface showing poignancy and verb in
all their art works that become an
abstraction of the figurative forms where
each color is expressed by itself.
They want to show in all their works their
passion for live and nature.
Their artworks have a high Latin American
influence and through time they have been
fed with Their experiences as students in
Europe and now living in the U.S.A.
They have been awarded with several public
art exhibitions and permanent installations
commissioned by different cities in North
America.
